City of the Shroud - Architecture Designs

A few years ago I had the pleasure of designing the world of Abyssal Arts's game, City of the Shroud (http://www.abyssalarts.com/shroud). It was a small-scale, but ambitious, indie title.

The visual direction was 1910-30s mid-east with some post-apocalyptic elements--we called it Moorish Punk.

The budget was obviously an issue, so a lot of effort went into trying to make everything as modular as possible, so that existing elements could be mixed and matched to come up with new assets. That said, something like the Cathedral was a main landmark of the city and had to be unique.
